Sauerbraten Meatballs
This Sauerbraten Meatballs recipe features German style meatballs with a sweet, sour and savory flavor. While the sauce for these meatballs may have an appearance similar to gravy, the flavor will surprise you, as the thickening agent is crushed gingersnap cookies! Because of the spices used in gingersnap cookies, this meatball recipe is also perfect for holiday parties! Also great served as a main dish over pasta or rice.
Sausages with Mustard Cream
Sausages with Mustard Cream is a surprisingly delicious appetizer recipe featuring grilled smoked sausages served with a creamy mustard dipping sauce made with whipping cream, Dijon mustard, prepared horseradish, white wine vinegar, egg yolks and a hint of sugar. If you don't have time to fire up the outdoor grill, you can also broil these sausages in your oven. Any type of smoked sausage or kielbasa will work beautifully with this recipe.
Scandinavian Meatballs
Who can resist hot, flavorful bite-size meatballs served with a tasty savory sauce? These Scandinavian Meatballs are amazingly easy to prepare, and the sauce is even easier! The meatballs are made with a combination of ground beef and ground pork, along with sautèed onions, soft bread crumbs, egg, milk and seasoning. The sauce is made at the last minute simply by adding some milk to the skillet and stirring!
Sesame Cheddar Turnovers
Sesame Cheddar Turnovers are petite and flaky appetizers filled with seasoned cheddar cheese and a small amount of egg, topped with sesame seeds and baked to a golden brown. The dough is made with a generous amount of cream cheese, giving these turnovers fabulous unexpected flavor and texture. These pastry appetizers can be served immediately after baking or made ahead of time, frozen and reheated.
Sesame Cheese Twists
The beautiful thing about homemade cheese breadsticks is that they are easy to make, bake quickly and usually produce a large batch. Sesame Cheese Twists are made with just a few simple ingredients - grated cheddar cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, toasted sesame seeds, a little chilled butter and some flour mixed with a little salt and a pinch of cayenne pepper. These twists are also great with dip!
