The Story Behind Love That Food

LoveThatFood may well have been in its earliest stages long before the internet was even invented. I can remember being creative with food when I was very young, and experimenting with and preparing all kinds of foods for friends and family as the years continued. As my passion for experimenting with recipes grew, I struggled with trying to find ways of keeping my hundreds of recipes organized. From recipe boxes, to books, to binders and finally computer files, my recipes were all over the place. Creating this website has not only provided me with a way to share my favorite recipes, it provides me with a place to organize and easily find them!

Recipes

Every recipe on this website has been tested and approved by me and others as a recipe "worth repeating." I have chosen recipes that are fairly simple to make and have that "Mmm!" factor. Recipes on this website come from a variety of sources. Many have been created by me over time by trial and error and experimentation. Other recipes were passed down through my family, starting with my Grandma, Bonnie, who had some simple yet amazing recipes that likely had passed down to her from previous generations. Some recipes come from books and hundreds of recipes my mother had for decades meticulously clipped from newspapers or received from friends and acquaintances and stored in various binders. I'm sure my mother had sincere intentions to try each recipe, but her passion for collecting and organizing these recipes must have surpassed the time she had to prepare them all. Though she didn't know it at the time, those many hours of carefully reviewing and collecting recipes were not in vain, for I am now honored to help her legacy live on by sharing some of those recipes on this website.

Photos

Another one of my hobbies is photography, so every photo on this website is a genuine photo of the food I prepared myself. All the newer recipe pages display large images to give you a good idea as to how each recipe will look once prepared. The older recipe pages (currently being upgrated to the new format) display smaller images, but the large close-up image for each recipe can still be viewed by clicking the image itself or the "See large image" link below each image.

For Your Pleasure

My goal is to make visiting LoveThatFood.com a very user-friendly experience. I want you to be able to easily find what you are looking for, and designed this website with that in mind. If you ever have any challenges navigating through this website, please feel free to let me know via my Contact page.

A Work in Progress

Love That Food is most certainly a never-ending story that will continue to improve and expand in content. New recipes are added often, and new categories and content will also be added as time moves forward. Because of my great passion for food, photography, website design and relating to people, I am thoroughly excited about how Love That Food will continue to evolve and grow. I hope you enjoy browsing this website and that you'll find some recipes you'd like to try. Most of all, I hope you enjoy the rewards of preparing your own food the way I do. Thanks for stopping by!
